Review on Bobbi Brown 'Extra' Soothing Balm

Don't you just hate when you splurge on something, fall in love with it, and then start seeing the bottom of it!? I mean it's like I love you so much but do I love money more.....
Exactly how I feel about my Bobbi Brown Extra Soothing Balm- it retails for $58 but it's so darn good.

It's basically a very dense thick balm and it smells slightly gingery and just very clean, I know some people aren't a big fan of the smell but it goes away after a little while anyways. I personally love the smell because it just kind of smells luxurious and like sleep time. So I got this and I rarely used it for a while because I couldn't totally figure out the best way to use it. Come winter time I just started using it all over my face as a night time lotion and I swear it kept flakes away ALL winter. I have tried so many thick night creams that made my skin feel heavy and become oily in the morning but this never did that. Which is amazing considering that it's so thick and moisturizing. You only need a little bit and it is a little hard at first to get the product out but once you get going on it it gets a lot easier to reach bits of it out. Packaging is so pretty I think it looks classy and I like the weight of it. Granted it is heavy so not the best for traveling with. I have also used this as a lip balm and it's not the best but it works well. I haven't tried it on cheeks to get that "desired healthy glow" because I hadn't actually realized that that was an option but reading other peoples' reviews and a few people have said that it works! I haven't found any other lotion that's as good as this- all in all I love this stuff...but the jury is still out on whether I love money more.
